A snowy, medieval-inspired tarot deck illustrated in ballpoint pen by Dmytro Ryzhak

Product Description

Winter in Carolingia Tarot is the fifth tarot deck from Ukrainian artist Dmytro Ryzhak, creator of Bloody Tears Tarot, Fantasy Garden Tarot, City Labyrinth Tarot, and Rediscovered Classic Tarot.

Faithful to his signature technique, this deck is entirely illustrated using ballpoint pens — resulting in intricate linework, atmospheric shading, and remarkable detail.

Inspired by the Carolingian Empire of the 9th century, the deck evokes a collective vision of medieval Europe. Snow-covered landscapes, layered winter garments, and quiet, solemn expressions create a world suspended in stillness.

Carolingia once spanned territories that now include France, Germany, Italy and beyond — and here it becomes a symbolic setting where history, myth and tarot archetypes intertwine.

This is a borderless 78 card tarot deck that follows the classic structure of Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles, making it intuitive for experienced readers while visually distinctive for collectors.
