Dragon's Blood has long been associated within magical and spiritual traditions with protection, strength, cleansing and ritual work, while Black Obsidian is traditionally associated with grounding, protection and inner strength.

Together, they inspired a wax melt with a distinctly darker character.

The fragrance is bold and resinous rather than sweet or delicate, making it particularly lovely for autumn evenings, tarot readings, journaling, meditation or simply transforming the atmosphere of your favourite space.

And then, as the wax disappears...

the Obsidian begins to emerge.

🔮 A Crystal Hidden Within the Wax

Each Obsidian Shield snap bar contains real Black Obsidian gemstone chips embedded within the wax. As the melt warms and releases its fragrance, the crystals gradually reveal themselves.

That was one of the reasons we chose these for Tarot & Tea.

It isn't simply a fragrance product.

There's another little discovery waiting inside.

Once the wax has completely cooled, the crystal chips can be carefully removed and cleaned if you wish to keep them.

The Samhain collection was built around the atmosphere of the threshold season: protection, divination, transformation and exploring what waits beyond the familiar.

The deep Dragon's Blood fragrance and protective symbolism traditionally associated with Black Obsidian made this a natural fit.

Now that all of our subscriber boxes have been fulfilled, we have just a few melts remaining from our original Samhain allocation, so we're making them available individually.

🔥 How to Use

Break off an appropriate amount of wax and place it in the dish of a suitable wax melt burner or electric warmer.

As the wax warms, the Dragon's Blood fragrance will begin to fill your space and the hidden Black Obsidian chips will gradually become visible.

Always follow the instructions supplied with your wax burner and never leave a lit tealight burner unattended.

Important: The crystal chips are decorative and are not intended for consumption. Allow the wax and burner to cool completely before attempting to remove anything from the dish.

There was a very particular experience we wanted to create when subscribers opened our first Tarot & Tea box.

Before they'd even discovered everything inside, we wanted Samhain to have an atmosphere.

Dragon's Blood gave us that deep, resinous fragrance, while the hidden Black Obsidian added another element of discovery.
