The Golden Age Tarot, 1909 Edition is a faithful restoration of the iconic tarot illustrated by Pamela Colman Smith under the direction of Arthur Edward Waite. Originally printed in London in 1909, this deck helped shape the visual language of tarot for over a century. My goal in this edition is to honor the integrity of Smith’s linework, colours, and symbolism while presenting it in a format true to its era.

Every card has been reproduced from high-end scans of the very first 1909 printing. I preserved the gentle, earth-toned watercolor palette she created, soft, natural hues that feel grounded and alive. Unlike the oversaturated versions so often seen in circulation, these colors breathe with the warmth and subtlety of her hand. I also restored her original handwritten titles/text, keeping the living character of her handwriting intact rather than replacing it with digital fonts. Each detail was chosen to carry the texture, tone, and charm of the original printing into the present.

This edition comes in a beautiful tuck box, with cards printed on high-quality linen stock for a smooth, natural shuffle. At 5" x 3", the cards are slightly larger than the original, allowing the imagery and symbols to open like windows into another world. This is both a working deck and a piece of history reborn, an offering for those who walk the path of divination.
