Crow Tarot Pocket Edition by MJ Cullinane

The Award-Winning Crow Tarot in a Pocket-Sized Edition

Small deck. Very large murder.

Crow Tarot Pocket Edition brings MJ Cullinane's much-loved Crow Tarot into a compact format designed for travel, smaller hands, larger spreads and readers who simply prefer a more manageable card size.

Inspired by the intelligence, mystery and magical symbolism of crows and ravens, this complete 78-card tarot follows familiar Rider-Waite-Smith symbolism, translating traditional tarot archetypes into a richly atmospheric world inhabited by corvids.

The pocket-sized cards measure just 2.25 × 3.5 inches, yet this little edition still includes an impressive 128-page illustrated guidebook with upright and reversed meanings and a custom Crow Tarot spread.

Small enough to travel.

Deep enough to become an everyday reading deck.

🐦⬛ Follow the Crow

Across mythology and folklore, crows and ravens have long occupied the spaces between worlds.

Intelligent.

Observant.

Adaptable.

Associated with transformation, mystery, messages and the unknown.

They're rather perfect tarot companions.

Crow Tarot invites these extraordinary birds into the traditional tarot landscape, using their behaviour and symbolism to explore the archetypal journey of the cards.

Rather than humans taking centre stage, the crows become our guides.

And they appear to know exactly where they're going.

Whether they intend to tell us immediately is another matter.

🔮 Familiar Rider-Waite-Smith Foundations

One of Crow Tarot's greatest strengths is its accessibility.

The deck is infused with the familiar symbolism of traditional Rider-Waite-Smith tarot, allowing both newer and experienced readers to recognise the underlying meanings of the cards.

If you've learned with an RWS deck, you'll find plenty of familiar visual clues.

But MJ Cullinane reinterprets those scenes through the world of the crow.

The result feels distinctive without forcing you to learn an entirely new tarot system.

That makes Crow Tarot particularly good for readers who want something atmospheric and unusual while retaining a strong connection to traditional tarot.

🖤 Why Crows?

Crows are extraordinarily intelligent birds.

They observe.

Remember.

Problem-solve.

Communicate.

Adapt.

And seem permanently aware of considerably more than they're letting on.

Within tarot, those qualities create a fascinating symbolic language.

A crow might become a messenger.

A witness.

A warning.

A guide.

Or simply the creature sitting quietly at the edge of the card asking whether you've considered the thing you've been determinedly avoiding.

The deck uses that corvid energy beautifully, creating readings that can feel direct, intuitive and surprisingly expressive.

✨ The Pocket Edition

This edition condenses the complete Crow Tarot into cards measuring approximately 2.25 × 3.5 inches.

That makes it particularly useful for:

Travel • Smaller hands • Large spreads • Limited table space • Daily readings • Reading on the go

Pocket tarot decks can also be much easier to shuffle for readers who struggle with oversized cards.

And because all 78 cards are included, nothing about the tarot itself has been reduced.

Only the dimensions.

📖 128-Page Illustrated Guidebook

Despite its compact size, this isn't simply a mini deck with a tiny folded leaflet tucked inside.

Crow Tarot Pocket Edition includes a 128-page illustrated guidebook.

Inside you'll find guidance for working with the complete deck, including:

• Upright card meanings
• Reversed card meanings
• Card imagery and symbolism
• A custom Crow Tarot Spread

That gives beginners plenty of support while allowing experienced readers to explore MJ Cullinane's particular interpretation of each archetype.

A surprisingly substantial little book for a deck designed to fit in your bag.

🎨 About MJ Cullinane

MJ Cullinane is an award-winning artist, writer and tarot creator best known for her distinctive animal-centred tarot decks.

Her work combines traditional tarot symbolism with digital collage and richly layered visual storytelling.

Crow Tarot became one of her best-known creations, followed by other decks including Wise Dog Tarot.

Rather than simply replacing human figures with animals, Cullinane explores the characteristics, behaviour and symbolic associations of those creatures and uses them to reinterpret traditional tarot archetypes.

That's particularly effective with crows.

They already behave as though they own the place.

Tarot merely gave them documentation.

🏆 An Award-Winning Tarot

The original Crow Tarot received the 2019 CARTA Award for Best Tarot Deck.

Its combination of familiar tarot foundations, atmospheric artwork and powerful crow symbolism has helped it become one of MJ Cullinane's signature decks.

This Pocket Edition makes that same tarot world much easier to carry, shuffle and use for larger spreads.

🌙 The Reading Experience

Crow Tarot works particularly well for readings involving:

Intuition • Transformation • Shadow work • Decision-making • Messages • Personal growth • Relationships • Change • Spiritual exploration

The imagery is atmospheric without becoming inaccessible.

That makes it a lovely bridge between traditional RWS tarot and darker or more intuitive contemporary decks.

It's equally capable of sitting on a beginner's reading table or disappearing into the bag of someone who has been reading tarot for twenty years.

🖤 Why We Love It at Oneness Emporium

We already have a soft spot for pocket tarot decks.

You get the complete 78-card system without requiring the table space of a medieval banquet.

And Crow Tarot works particularly well in miniature.

The artwork remains atmospheric, the RWS foundations make it wonderfully readable and the smaller cards make those sprawling multi-card readings considerably easier to manage.

Then there's the guidebook.

Some pocket editions apparently believe shrinking the cards means the accompanying information must also disappear into another dimension.

Not this one.

You still get 128 pages, upright and reversed meanings and a dedicated Crow Tarot spread.

It's a proper working tarot deck that happens to fit in your pocket.

And if you're already building a collection of mini decks at Oneness, the crows have clearly spotted the available shelf space.

They'll take it from here.
